Interior Design Sydney Commonwealth Parliament Offices |
"Architectus fully understands our needs very early and not just handed out a setting that met our brief to the letter, but it totally exceeded our expectations."
Sharon Brigden, NSW State Manager, Ministerial and Parliamentary Services, Department of Finance
Architectus designed the setting for the new Commonwealth Parliament Offices in Sydney (CPO) located across three levels 1 Bligh Street.
The offices are a unique environment that provided office space for the Ministerial Australian government and parliamentary staff during his visit to New South Wales and also provide an important gateway for parliamentarians to meet international dignitaries.
The main objective of the design was to create flexible office space and high security for public and private uses while fully optimizes the unique qualities of 1 Bligh.
The timeless design was influenced by the nature and character of Sydney, inspired by the natural light, overlooking the harbor, transparency, the shape of the coast and local materials.
The CPO includes suites for the prime minister, opposition leader and other federal ministers, plus conference and meeting spaces, media and press rooms and associated facilities.
Through understanding and knowledge of the construction of the base 1 Bligh detailed Architectus' setting out design has been designed to achieve Green Star Office Interiors.
